About the Author …
Mark Sakry brings some incongruous skills and a varied background to his present, contented life in the Cloquet [Valley] State Forest near Brimson. A self-described "escaped technical writer and copy editor," in his current "reincarnation" Sakry's primary interests are outdoor education, wild foods, winter camping, environmental [conservation], teaching, and writing. Sports Afield, Lake Superior, Backpacker, Boundary Waters Journal, and the Duluth News-Tribune carry his work, which stresses reader participation.
